According to Lawrence Yun, the Chief Economist of the NAR, there is “A second chance opportunity.

Compared to early June when the rate hit 6%, the recent 5% reduces mortgage payment by around 12%.”

Freddie Mac said mortgage rates fell for a second week, dipping below 5% for the first time since April. A Freddie Mac economist predicts rates will remain variable.
