SOLD | 1512 Hillcrest Rd | $2,763,575

Some homes stay with you long after you leave them - this was one of those.

Tyler showed this property to multiple buyers over the past year because he knew it was something rare: a true mid-century gem, quietly tucked into the hills above Santa Barbara with the kind of light, scale, and feeling that’s almost impossible to replicate.

We’re thrilled to have represented the buyers in the successful closing of this extraordinary property.

Set on a full acre of open meadowland with sweeping mountain views, the home balances dramatic architecture with warmth and livability - from the beautifully preserved mid-century lines to the peaceful, unfenced landscape where deer still wander at dusk.

A special sale all around, and an honor to help our clients find a home that feels this discovered.

Thank you to for such a smooth and thoughtful transaction from start to finish.

This weekend was such a special one. Our dear friend and client (who sits on the Ojai Playwrights Conference board) asked Casey to help with some design pieces for their Brentwood fundraiser — hosted at The Schnabel House, an iconic Frank Gehry masterpiece that’s almost never open to the public.

To be inside that home — especially just days after Gehry’s passing — felt surreal and incredibly meaningful.

The event featured scenes from “John Proctor is the Villain” , a play developed at OPC that went on to earn seven Tony nominations and is now headed for both London and a major motion picture. Hearing those words come alive in such an intimate setting was pure magic.

OPC is doing such important work developing new voices and new stories for the American theater. We left inspired by the artists, the mission, and the generosity in the room.

A beautiful afternoon of architecture, art, and purpose — honored to be there and to support ✨

Our Matilija Pop-Up with Carly Home was a sweet success.
Coffee, cozy linens and pjs, Sunday sunshine, and so many lovely people wandering over from the Ojai Farmers Market to shop, sip, and tour this mixed-use gem in the heart of Ojai.

A big thank you to everyone who stopped by — and to for bringing the dreamiest Ojai touch to 216 E Matilija.

Interested in a private tour or learning more about this unique property? Send us a message — we’d love to walk you through. 🍊

From Palm Springs to Montecito — Richard Neutra’s vision changed the way Californians live.

His emphasis on glass, light, and natural flow set the foundation for Santa Barbara’s signature indoor–outdoor lifestyle, still reflected in many of our most coveted homes today.
