Ah yes, the "upside-down shower" installation technique. 🚿👏
Because who doesn't want water pooling around their feet while taking a shower? Why bother with things like proper slope and drainage when you can create your own indoor kiddie pool?
During today's inspection, we found a shower pan installed with all the drainage efficiency of a cereal bowl. Water wasn't heading toward the drain—it was actively avoiding it.
Remember: gravity is not a suggestion. It's part of the building code. 😎

✔ Hanging wires
✔ Mystery labels
✔ Enough wire nuts to start a small collection
Somewhere, an electrician is saying, ‘I’ll come back and clean that up later.’

I got a call from a buyer who chose to go with the “cheaper guy” for their home inspection.

After moving forward, they kept noticing a strong musty smell… but couldn’t figure out where it was coming from.

Here’s what was missed:
❌ No mention of foundation concerns
❌ No signs of moisture reported
❌ No crawlspace inspection… at all
⏱️ Total inspection time? About 60 minutes.

That “cheaper” inspection ended up missing what could be a major issue.

Finally!! A nice, clean crawlspace!! 🙌

No puddles… no creepy surprises… no “nope, I’m backing out of here” moments 😆

Just clean, dry, and doing exactly what it’s supposed to do — which, honestly, feels suspicious.

Crawlspaces are usually where the horror movies start… but this one? More like a Hallmark special.

We love to see it.

🚨 Flipped Home “Repairs” 😬

Just inspected a flipped home — and these videos show some interesting repair work…

Let’s just say:
👉 “Good enough” was the standard
👉 “Done right” was optional

👀 What looks good on the surface can hide some pretty rough workmanship underneath.

💡 Lesson: New and shiny doesn’t mean properly repaired.
