The March 2024 Market Update is out and presented by Houston Association of Realtors.

Here are the key points:
📌The Real Estate market is balanced among sellers and buyers.
In a seller's market:
➡️Price of real estate will increase at a higher rate.
➡️Typically, in a seller's market the months inventory of houses is lower.
In a Buyers market:
➡️ Price of Real Estate will show trends of going down
➡️Number of months inventory to increase.

Therefore, the data that supports a balanced market is total property sales only decreased 7.0%. The price of a home has relatively remained with the median sales price increase of 1.6%. Number of months inventory has increased.

📌 Price has remained stable due to inventory available on the market. A typical number of months inventory supply is six months. With inventory reporting at 3.5 months; the price of a home remains stable.
