Throughout his career, Aubrey served as a trusted personal assistant who approached every responsibility with pride, professionalism, and an unwavering commitment. His loyalty to our company and the Wilson family has been truly remarkable. No matter the task, Aubrey consistently went above and beyond, always willing to lend a helpful hand and ensure things were done right.

His dedication, positive attitude, and steadfast support have left a lasting impact on our team, and he will be greatly missed by all who have had the privilege of working alongside him.

We’re proud to celebrate Ronnie Brown, JWA’s Executive Vice President and CFO, who recently returned to his alma mater, The Montgomery Academy, to deliver the commencement address to the Class of 2026.

As a 1992 graduate of The Montgomery Academy, Ronnie shared words of encouragement, leadership, and perspective with the next generation as they prepare for what’s ahead.

Employee Spotlight: Carl Bartlett

Carl describes JWA in one word: Rewarding.

Since joining JWA in 1981, Carl says the most rewarding part of his journey has been learning about life through the eyes of the business world. He values an environment where hard work leads to success and where structural integrity defines both the projects we build and the way we operate.

Carl is especially proud of his work on Redstone Gateway, a transformative development that reflects the long-term vision and operational excellence of JWA.

In his role overseeing operations, Carl plays a key part in ensuring the company’s continued strength and stability.

A graduate of Auburn University with a Business degree and a Juris Doctor from Cumberland School of Law, Carl has built both a professional legacy and a family legacy. He and his wife Aneta have three children and eight grandchildren.

We are grateful for Carl’s leadership, wisdom, and lasting impact on JWA.

Employee Spotlight: Karen Dube Steinhauer

Karen Steinhauer describes JWA in one word: Tradition.

For Karen, the most rewarding part of her time at JWA has been being part of a team that works seamlessly together, where respect and a willingness to help one another are part of the everyday culture. She says the family-friendly environment makes it a place where it’s hard to have a bad day.

In her role, Karen manages daily monetary transactions across various entities and accounts, including A&W Enterprises, helping ensure accuracy and consistency behind the scenes.

One accomplishment she’s especially proud of is earning her college degree from Auburn University at Montgomery while working full time, graduating with a 3.0, a testament to her dedication and work ethic.

Karen has been married to her husband for nearly 21 years and outside of work, she enjoys live entertainment - from concerts to comedy shows - and spending time at home in Letohatchee with her husband and their four dogs.

We are grateful for Karen’s positivity, dedication, and the strong team spirit she brings to JWA.

We were proud to be part of an incredible morning at the Montgomery Kidney Walk this past Saturday.

Representing JWA, Brian Wilson attended on behalf of Will and Kelly Wilson and shared some exciting news, this year’s event raised a record-breaking total of more than $320,000 for the Alabama Kidney Foundation!

This amazing level of support speaks volumes about the generosity and heart of the River Region community. We are grateful to play a small part in helping make a difference for those affected by kidney disease.
