The stair climb is an opportunity to honor the first responders who climbed the stairs of the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001, and to keep their memory alive.

Employee Spotlight: Leslie Eagerton

For Leslie Eagerton, one of the most rewarding parts of her time at JWA has been the close relationships she has built over the years.

Leslie has worked as a Lease Administrator with JWA for 30 years, focusing on property management and maintaining strong tenant relationships on behalf of landlords. She enjoys the diversity of her role and the opportunity to work on multiple projects, solve problems, and continue learning along the way.

One project she is especially proud of is the development of the Shoppes at EastChase in 2002. Seeing the center continue to thrive years later brings a strong sense of accomplishment, knowing she played a role in the planning and lease administration that helped make the project successful.

Originally from Demopolis, Alabama, Leslie has been married to her high school sweetheart for 33 years. She is the proud mother of two children and grandmother to two grandsons. Outside of work, she enjoys gardening, cooking, baking for coworkers, and traveling with her family to sporting events.

We are grateful for Leslie’s decades of dedication and the relationships she has helped build along the way.

Employee Spotlight: Woody Rush

When asked what has been most rewarding about his time at JWA, Woody’s answer was simple: Trust.

“The Wilsons have the trust in me to get results.”

Woody is especially proud of his role in developing EastChase, a project that has made a lasting impact on Montgomery and the surrounding area. As part of our leasing team, his focus is clear: finding tenants and making deals that strengthen our properties and communities.

He describes JWA as “Fun” and “Exciting” and says what he enjoys most is the people he works for and with. He believes the culture is what truly sets JWA apart.

A 1978 Auburn University marketing graduate, Woody has always loved real estate, particularly assembling a strong group of retailers in one location. Outside of work, you’ll likely find him outdoors, at a sporting event, or spending time with family and friends at Lake Martin.

We are grateful for Woody’s persistence, leadership, and results-driven mindset.

We are pleased to announce the closing of a 1.65-acre outparcel transaction at Carriage Crossing MarketPlace in Collierville, Tennessee. The site will be developed for a new full-service McDonald’s restaurant, with construction scheduled to begin within the next 30 days.

JWA represented the seller alongside Colliers of Memphis, which also served as the listing agent.

Employee Spotlight: Melinda Elmore Knight

Melinda describes JWA in one word: Caring.

As JWA's Payroll and Benefits Administrator, Melinda plays an essential role in supporting our employees by ensuring payroll is processed accurately and benefits are managed effectively. As she puts it, her focus is "keeping everyone happy by paying them and keeping their insurance effective."

Outside the office, Melinda enjoys spending time with Kimber, her Yorkie, and dreams of one day having a farm filled with miniature animals. She and her husband have a wonderful family that includes three children, seven grandchildren (with another on the way) and a lively household of three dogs and eight chickens.

Melinda's caring personality extends beyond her role and is reflected in the way she supports our team every day. We are grateful for the dedication and dependability she brings to JWA.
