🏡 Market Update: Houston’s Outer Suburbs Lead Q2 Home Sales!

According to the latest Q2 ZIP Watch report from the [Houston Association of REALTORS®](https://houstonagentmagazine.com/2026/07/20/har-zip-watch-q2-26/), sales growth in the Greater Houston area was strongest in the outer suburban markets.

Outer Suburbs Driving Growth:

The vast majority of top-performing ZIP codes with the highest year-over-year sales increases were located on the outskirts of the metro area.

#1 Hottest Market: 77461 ( Needville area in Fort Bend County) took the top spot for the biggest YoY increase in home sales.

77316 (Montgomery)
77551 (Galveston)
77336 (Huffman)
77327 (Cleveland)
77598 (Webster)
77306 (Montgomery / Conroe)

Curious about how the Houston market is moving this summer? Here is your quick look at the latest HAR weekly numbers compared to this time last year:

- Showings are UP (+3.2%) with 45,032 scheduled—serious buyers are actively out touring homes!
-🔑 Closings held steady (-0.6%) at 1,569, keeping pace almost perfectly with last year.
-🆕 New Listings dipped slightly (-2.8%) to 4,251, keeping inventory moving.
-📝 Pending Contracts decreased (-12.0%) to 2,040, reflecting a slightly more patient buyer pace.
