Free ACT/SAT Prep Classes for the Public
The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office will be offering FREE ACT/SAT prep classes to help our youth excel in hopes they will further their education by attending college. Our agency deals with teens on a daily basis that sometimes just need that extra boost to help them get on the right track.
1. On Tuesday, March 22, 2022, Sheriff Derrick Cunningham and the staff of the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office will host two free ACT/SAT classes for the public at the Administrative Office of the Sheriff, 100 South Lawrence Street, 1st floor. The first session is from 9am to 1pm and the second session is from 1pm to 5pm.
2. On Wednesday, March 23, 2022, Sheriff Derrick Cunningham and the staff of the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office will host two free ACT/SAT classes for the public at the Rufus A Lewis Branch Library, 3095 Mobile Highway. The first session is from 9am to 1pm and the second session is from 1pm to 5pm.
3. On Thursday, March 24, 2022, Sheriff Derrick Cunningham and the staff of the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office will host two free ACT/SAT classes for the public at the Pike Road Library, 9585 Vaughn Road. The first session is from 9am to 1pm and the second session is from 1pm to 5pm.
Participants will have an opportunity to practice each section of the test including science, math, and essay writing. These practice sessions will prepare participants for taking timed tests, as well as familiarize them with the type of questions that are on the official ACT and SAT exams. The courses will be limited to 10 participants per time slot and prior registration is required to attend.
