The Parable of the Mustard Seed — Matthew 13:31–32

A mustard seed starts out incredibly small, but it can grow into something much larger than anyone expects.

Sometimes we become discouraged because our progress feels small. We may think one conversation, one prayer, one act of kindness, or one step forward cannot make much difference, but God sees what it can become.

Don’t despise small beginnings. Keep planting seeds, keep showing up, and trust God with the growth.

Small beginnings are still beginnings, and God is still working. 💜

Thankful Thursday 💜

Today, I’m thankful for every client, friend, and family member who has trusted me enough to have a conversation about their financial future.

I’m also grateful for the people who have encouraged me, answered my questions, practiced with me, and helped me grow in this new career. Starting over isn’t always easy, but the support of others makes such a difference.

💰 Wealth Wisdom Wednesday: Legacy Planning

Today I spent time researching legacy planning, and it reminded me that a legacy is about much more than leaving money behind.

Legacy planning means prayerfully considering the faith, wisdom, values, memories, and resources we want to pass to future generations. It is an act of love and stewardship that helps prepare our families instead of leaving them with uncertainty.

“A good person leaves an inheritance for their children’s children.” — Proverbs 13:22

The greatest legacy we can leave is not simply what we owned—it is how we loved, served, gave, and followed Christ.

💜 Soulful Sunday 💜

Sometimes we become so focused on what is not working that we forget to recognize all the ways God is still working.

A delay is not always a denial.
A closed door is not always a failure.
A redirection may be God’s protection.

Today, I’m choosing to trust His timing, rest in His promises, and remember that I do not have to have everything figured out. God is already in tomorrow.

“Be still, and know that I am God.” — Psalm 46:10

Whatever you are carrying today, give it to Him. His grace is sufficient, and His plan is greater than anything we could create on our own.

💜 Val Educates: A Lesson from the Parable of the Talents

In Matthew 25:14–30, each servant was entrusted with something valuable. They weren’t given equal amounts, but each was responsible for what had been placed in their hands.

The lesson isn’t simply about money it’s about stewardship.

God has given each of us unique gifts, experiences, resources, and opportunities. We aren’t called to compare ours with someone else’s. We’re called to use what we have faithfully and wisely.

You may feel like you’re starting over, but nothing God has taught you is wasted. Your talents, your testimony, and even your trials can all serve a greater purpose.

💜 THANKFUL THURSDAY 💜

Today I’m thankful for the things that didn’t go according to my plan.

That sounds a little crazy, doesn’t it? 😂

But some of the biggest redirections in my life have eventually led me exactly where I needed to be.

I’m learning that not every closed door is a failure.
Not every detour means you’re lost.
And not every season is meant to be permanent.

Sometimes God is working behind the scenes long before we understand what He’s doing.

So today, I’m thankful for the open doors, the closed doors, the lessons, the people who encourage me, and even the uncertainty that keeps me leaning on Him.

“In all things give thanks.” 💜

I may not know exactly what the next chapter looks like yet, but I’m thankful God already does.

We’re in a new season of life, and honestly, I don’t know exactly how I’m supposed to adjust. I’m still learning how to find my place in it.
