Renovations and repairs aside, the regular maintenance never ends, and requires many man-hours/days per year. Mahogany decks need to be cleaned and oiled regularly, but they look so good when done it's rewarding!

Many of my infrastructure upgrades (like new central AC system with heat pump this winter) offer great benefit to our guests, but just are not picture worthy. This spring we had our concrete porch repaired/lifted/stabilized with injection foam, then pressure washed, patched broken mortar, caulked all the cracks, then a coat of anti-slip masonry paint to make it all look fresh. Just enough left in the second can to freshen up the outdoor showers too!
