I see this table at a neighbor’s house each year and it always makes an impact on me and reminds me to be grateful for those who gave it all to preserve our Freedom! If you have trouble reading the sign on the table I have it below. May you and your entire family have a wonderful and blessed Memorial Day!
This table is reserved to honor those fallen in the battle
The table is round - to show our everlasting grief for your sons and daughters who will not come home again.
The tablecloth is white - to symbolize the purity of their motives when answering the call to duty.
The single red rose, displayed in a vase, reminds us of the life of each of the fallen and their loved ones and friends of these Americans who keep the faith despite the pain.
The vase is tied with a red ribbon, symbol of our continued determination to hold dear our fallen.
A slice of lemon on the bread plate is to remind us of the bitter fate of those who gave their all.
A pinch of sale symbolizes the tears endured by those who grieve the loss of loved ones.
The Bible represents the strength gained through faith to sustain those lost from our country, founded as one nation under God.
The glass is inverted - to symbolize their inability to share this evening’s toast.
The chair is empty - They are gone, but not forgotten.
As we celebrate our Freedom, may we remember those who have given the ultimate sacrifice, and whisper a word of thanks to God and their families. God Bless you all!
