🍂 It's not officially fall yet, but it sure feels like it!🍁
Labor Day weekend always feels like the unofficial kickoff to fall here in Minnesota. The days are getting shorter, the mornings are getting cooler, and before we know it, we'll be wondering where summer went.
And while we're enjoying these beautiful early-fall days, it's also a great time to knock out a few simple home maintenance tasks before winter sneaks up on us!🏠
A few things to put on your fall to-do list:
🍂 Clean out the gutters and downspouts
🔥 Have your fireplace/chimney inspected and cleaned if needed
🌳 Trim branches away from your home
🚪 Check weatherstripping around doors and windows
💧 Disconnect and drain garden hoses
❄️ Pull out the snowblower and make sure it's ready to go
🧂 Check your supply of ice melt/salt
🏠 Check your furnace and replace your filter
🚗 Get those winter emergency supplies ready for the car
A little time spent on maintenance now can help prevent some much bigger headaches once the snow and freezing temperatures arrive. And around here, we all know winter has a way of showing up whether we're ready for it or not! 😂
