Just last year, in this exact room, we were hosting monthly events filled with entrepreneurs and business leaders.

Last night, we filled that same room again… but for something different.

Business professionals gathering to strengthen their relationship with God, grow in community, and learn how to use their spiritual gifts to lead better in business and life.

It just reminded me how God works.

Sometimes we’re so focused on what’s changing that we miss what He’s building.

There have been seasons where things didn’t make sense, seasons of pressure, stretching, and uncertainty. But over time I’ve learned to keep my mind open and pay attention to where God may be leading.

Even through difficult seasons, there’s often something being prepared on the other side.

One moment that stood out to me last night was leading the room in prayer.

Instead of trying to prepare every word or control the moment, I simply got quiet and allowed God to guide what needed to be said.

There’s something powerful about surrendering and trusting.

What an incredible night at Business on Mission.

Excited to see a lot of our Business on Mission community tonight.

This is also an open invite. You do not have to attend our church. If you’re from another church, own a business, lead people, or simply want to get in a room with faith driven business professionals and good people, come join us.

That quote reminds me that success rarely starts when everyone sees it.

It starts in the quiet.

Before the title.
Before the recognition.

Recently had some very extensive preventative blood work done. A ton of panels. A really deep look under the hood.

Thankfully, almost everything came back great.

But one thing stood out… my cholesterol was a little high.

My doctor pointed out that a few years ago it was lower and it’s slowly crept up.

That hit me.

I’m 38. I work out consistently. I try to eat relatively well. I stay active. If you asked me beforehand, I probably would’ve assumed everything would come back perfect.

But that’s exactly why you get checked.

So many people go 5–10 years without doing comprehensive blood work and don’t realize things have been slowly trending in the wrong direction until they get surprised by something much bigger.

The reality is, there’s too much available today to stay proactive with our health not to take advantage of it.

Sometimes small changes now prevent bigger decisions later.

For me, that means making some adjustments… more vegetables, more fiber, more intentional nutrition, and staying ahead of it before it becomes something that requires more intervention.

And honestly… my biggest motivation isn’t a number on a lab report.

I love my family and my kids too much not to take care of myself now so I can be there long into their future… to stay healthy, active, watch them grow, meet their families someday, and hopefully chase around grandkids one day too.

Just a reminder to my friends and network:

Go get checked.
Don’t assume.
Know your numbers.
Take care of yourself before you have to.

Your future self and the people who love you will thank you.
