A reminder for the frigid temperatures and high winds coming this weekend:
Make sure your skirting is all in place and secure
Open your kitchen and bathroom cabinet doors to allow heat to get to your pipes. If you have hazardous chemicals stored under your sinks, be sure to put them up so children and pets do not get into them while you have your doors open
If you are going to be away from home be sure to leave your heat set to above 68 degrees to help keep the pipes from freezing
Make sure your heat tape is plugged in and working
Leave kitchen and bathroom faucets including your shower faucet at a small trickle to get water flowing through the pipes consistently
