Easy to see why Morehead City ranks so high especially when it is 64 degrees and Sunny on Christmas Eve! Merry Christmas everyone!

FYI, NC has made it illegal to release balloons. Help protect our wildlife.

A new bill is making its way through the North Carolina legislature that would ban balloon releases statewide. 🚫

That means no more “let it go” moments at weddings, memorials, or beach photoshoots. The state’s not playing, you could face a $250 fine if you organize or take part in a balloon release.✋🏻

Why? Because those balloons don’t float to heaven, they end up in our trees, our waterways, and the bellies of wildlife that call this place home. 🌊🐢

Coastal counties like Dare and Currituck have been saying it for years, and now the whole state’s on board:
