The Overlook at Waterside is a vacation rental tiny home ( #145, see map) located within the Waterside at Blue Ridge Community. We are located in a secluded part of the community where we overlook the community pavilion, the pond, and a large portion of the neighborhood. We also have a nice size deck to enjoy your morning coffee, have a meal, or just enjoy the fresh mountain air. We have a fire pit

and a sitting area where you can gather with friends and family, make s'mores, and create some beautiful memories! Our tiny home offers:
Living area with a sleeper sofa, a space-saving dining table, smart TV. Kitchen (fully equipped with everything you need to make a tasty meal at home). Bedroom with a queen size bed, TV, and plenty of storage
for your clothes and luggage. Stacked washer & dryer. There is a park ranger on-site and small store to get wood, ice cream, snacks, etc. This is one of the few sites that doesn't have other properties in the back and in front of it. The community has everything you need for a relaxing getaway:

Waterside at Blue Ridge is a gated community, only 10 min drive to Downtown Blue Ridge where you can find many specialty local shops filled with unique handmade items, highly-rated restaurants and coffee shops. The community is only 2 miles away from Lake Blue Ridge (Morganton Recreational Area) where you can enjoy a day at the beach, paddle boarding, canoeing, fishing, swimming in the lake, hiking, riding on the bike trails. It is surrounded by the Chattahoochee National Forest. There are plenty of attractions in the area for every skill and age. Contact us for more info about the home and the area.

Some of my favorite mornings in the mountains are the ones when there’s nowhere you have to be. ☕🏔️
Wake up slowly. Start the coffee. Sit outside for a little while and decide what kind of day it’s going to be.
Maybe you head to the lake. Maybe you go hiking, wander around Downtown Blue Ridge, or find somewhere good for breakfast.
Or maybe you pour another cup and decide you’re perfectly happy right where you are. 😊
That’s what I love about a weekend at the tiny home. There’s so much to do nearby, but absolutely no requirement to do any of it.

Lake Blue Ridge from above. 💙
One of my favorite things about staying at our tiny home is how much there is to do nearby, and this is a pretty good example.
Spend the day on Lake Blue Ridge, explore Downtown Blue Ridge, hike, fish, float the river…or head back to Waterside and do absolutely nothing for a while. 😂
Sometimes a North Georgia weekend needs an itinerary. Sometimes it just needs a view like this.

This 5-star review pretty much sums up what we hope a stay at our tiny home feels like. 💚
A comfortable place to come back to after a full day outside, a well-stocked kitchen, plenty of little conveniences, and local recommendations when you need them. Yes, we may even share our fishing spots. 🎣😂
And there’s plenty to do without going far. Fishing, swimming, disc golf, bike riding, two playgrounds, or just slowing down and enjoying the mountains.
Then venture out for a hike, float the river, explore Blue Ridge, or take the guest’s advice and head to Brasstown Bald or Helton Creek Falls.

We loved reading how much this family packed into their stay, but my favorite line might be the last one:
“You can never have too much nature!” 🌲
We couldn’t agree more🙌

Remember that BIG surprise we said was coming? 👀
Well…here it is.
We had this big blank wall in the bedroom and wanted to do something that would make the room feel a little more special and a lot more like Blue Ridge.
And this is what we ended up with. 🏔️💙
The best part is where it is. You walk into the bedroom without seeing it…and then you turn around.
We think this might be the best wall in our tiny home now🥰😍

Tiny home owners…what do you think about this idea? 👀
We have these same folding chairs at our tiny home, and I spotted these wall hooks at IKEA.
My first thought: GENIUS. Get the chairs off the floor when we’re not using them and free up a little more space. 🙌
The problem? The hook doesn’t really hold two chairs nicely, and I’m not sure I want a separate hook for each chair.
So I think this may be one of those “great idea, but not quite right for us” finds.
Would you do it? Or keep the chairs on the floor?

Something BIG is happening in our tiny home bedroom.❤️
We wanted this room to feel a little more connected to the place we love so much - the North Georgia mountains.
We’re almost there, and I’m having a very hard time not showing you the whole thing. 😂

This sounds like a pretty good excuse for a September weekend in Blue Ridge. 🎶🔥
The Blue Ridge Blues & BBQ Festival is coming back to Downtown Blue Ridge on September 19th, celebrating its 15th year!
Live blues, BBQ from 15 award-winning pitmasters, vendors, giveaways and a full day outside in the mountains. And kids 12 and under get in free.
