The Overlook at Waterside Blue Ridge Welcome to our Tiny Home! We’d love to share it with you. Check available dates today! Twin size bunk beds. Loft with a queen-size bed. Full bathroom.

The Overlook at Waterside is a vacation rental tiny home ( #145, see map) located within the Waterside at Blue Ridge Community. We are located in a secluded part of the community where we overlook the community pavilion, the pond, and a large portion of the neighborhood. We also have a nice size deck to enjoy your morning coffee, have a meal, or just enjoy the fresh mountain air. We have a fire pit and a sitting area where you can gather with friends and family, make s'mores, and create some beautiful memories! Our tiny home offers:
Living area with a sleeper sofa, a space-saving dining table, smart TV. Kitchen (fully equipped with everything you need to make a tasty meal at home). Bedroom with a queen size bed, TV, and plenty of storage
for your clothes and luggage. Stacked washer & dryer. There is a park ranger on-site and small store to get wood, ice cream, snacks, etc. This is one of the few sites that doesn't have other properties in the back and in front of it. The community has everything you need for a relaxing getaway:

Waterside at Blue Ridge is a gated community, only 10 min drive to Downtown Blue Ridge where you can find many specialty local shops filled with unique handmade items, highly-rated restaurants and coffee shops. The community is only 2 miles away from Lake Blue Ridge (Morganton Recreational Area) where you can enjoy a day at the beach, paddle boarding, canoeing, fishing, swimming in the lake, hiking, riding on the bike trails. It is surrounded by the Chattahoochee National Forest. There are plenty of attractions in the area for every skill and age. Contact us for more info about the home and the area.

A few pumpkins, fall plants, and a little BOO to welcome our October guests 🎃👻
We have quite a few guests staying at the tiny home this month, so we wanted to make the yard feel cozy and welcoming for their arrival. Just a few simple touches to bring a little fall to their stay. 🍂 and it takes only 35 seconds to get it done 😆😜😅

Six years ago yesterday, we bought our lot in North Ga! 🥳
These photos take me back to our first visit. We toured the model tiny home, and the kids explored the the playground. Our own tiny home wouldn’t arrive until a year later, after manufacturing delays and material shortages (remember 2020 😅?).
Looking back, it’s fun to see how much the property has changed, and reminds us of all the work we have put in to make our tiny home the inviting place it is today. These pictures also remind us how little the kids were and how many memories we have made here while working on projects, spending weekends with family and friends, and all the new friends we’ve been able to find along the way❤️

We were supposed to be getting ready to welcome guests for a girls weekend.
Instead, we received a message that there had been an unexpected death in their family and they could no longer make the trip.
Their reservation was already past the full-refund deadline, and with check-in only a couple of days away, there was a good chance we wouldn’t have been able to fill those dates.
We had a decision to make.
We could stick to our cancellation policy, which is there for a reason. Or we could make an exception.
We chose the exception and approved the larger refund.
Yes, it means losing income from this stay. That’s part of running a small vacation rental. But behind every reservation is a real person, and sometimes life happens.
We hope they can still come when they’re ready❤️
For now, we just hope their family has the time and space they need.

The pumpkins are out, the mums are planted, and our tiny mountain home is officially getting ready for fall. 🎃🍂
We kept it simple this year, just enough to add a little fall color and make things feel cozy for our October guests.
And with the leaves starting to change around North Georgia, the best part is still coming. 🍁
Consider this your sign to plan a fall trip to the mountains. ❤️

A day trip that is totally worth it!!!
We stopped at the Ocoee Whitewater Center in Tennessee and happened to catch kayakers making their way through the rapids.
You can walk along the river, explore the area, watch the action on the water, and take in some gorgeous mountain scenery. And there’s some pretty cool history here too. This area was used for the whitewater events during the 1996 Atlanta Olympics.
This is another thing I love about spending time in Blue Ridge. Our weekends rarely stay in one place. There are so many little day trips and places to explore within short driving distance of the tiny home.
Definitely adding this one to our list of places to come back to. The building got destroyed in a fire a few years ago, but the place is still amazing!

Somewhere beneath that blanket of fog is our tiny home. 👀
Lake Blue Ridge in the distance.
Mountains disappearing into the clouds.
And down below, almost completely hidden… our little place in the mountains. ❤️
There’s something pretty incredible about seeing a familiar place look completely different from one morning to the next.
And that reveal through the fog? I could watch it over and over.
