Bee Fair & Honey Show comes to Morgantown, WV This September
The West Virginia Beekeepers Association is excited to host the 2026 Bee Fair & Honey Show on September 18–19 in Morgantown, West Virginia, bringing together beekeepers, pollinator enthusiasts, researchers, educators, vendors, and industry leaders for one of the region's most unique beekeeping events.
Designed as far more than a traditional conference, the Bee Fair combines education, hands-on experiences, demonstrations, networking, shopping, and competition into a single immersive event. Whether attendees manage a few backyard colonies or operate hundreds of hives, the Bee Fair offers opportunities to learn, connect, and grow.
This year's program features nationally recognized speakers, including researchers, authors, commercial beekeepers, queen breeders, and pollinator advocates. Educational sessions will cover topics ranging from colony health and queen rearing to honey production, pollinator conservation, and emerging challenges facing modern beekeeping. Presenters include:

One of the event's defining features is its experiential approach to learning. In addition to classroom presentations, attendees can participate in live demonstrations, in-hive instruction, and specialty workshops designed to provide practical skills that can be applied immediately in the apiary.
The Bee Fair also includes a large vendor marketplace featuring equipment manufacturers, suppliers, artisans, and beekeeping businesses from across the country. Many vendors offer exclusive event discounts, product demonstrations, and opportunities for attendees to connect directly with industry experts.
A centerpiece of the weekend is the Honey Show, where beekeepers showcase their craftsmanship through judged entries that celebrate the quality, creativity, and diversity of hive products. From extracted honey and comb honey to beeswax creations and specialty classes, the Honey Show highlights the dedication and talent found throughout the beekeeping community.
In addition to beekeeping-focused education, attendees will find programming related to native pollinators, habitat improvement, youth engagement, and environmental stewardship. The event is designed to foster connections not only between beekeepers, but among all those interested in supporting healthy pollinator populations.
The Bee Fair & Honey Show is hosted by the West Virginia Beekeepers Association, a nonprofit organization that supports beekeepers through education, advocacy, youth programs, community outreach, and collaboration. While the association works year-round to strengthen beekeeping in Appalachia, the Bee Fair serves as its largest educational event and a celebration of the broader beekeeping community.
