🎄 Holiday Decorating Safety Tip! 🎄

The holidays are a time for twinkling lights and festive decorations — but safety should always come first! ⚡

✅ Use extension cords safely:

Only use cords rated for indoor or outdoor use depending on where they’re placed.

Do not run cords through windows or doors. This can damage the cord, create a tripping hazard, and increase the risk of fire or electrical shock.

Keep cords away from water, heat sources, and heavy foot traffic.

Inspect cords for fraying or damage before each use.

Live decorative tree's are not permitted in any AION community

If you enjoy an electric fireplace please only do so while home. It must be plugged directly into the outlet, not on any extension cord or power strip. We discourage the use of the heat setting as it will compete with the HVAC system in your home; the central HVAC system must run to prevent damage from the cold to your home. If your fireplace setting is too warm it will not allow the HVAC system to run and risks damage to your home from burst pipes ect.
