Katy Norman

Katy Norman Coffee fueled, travel addict helping you invest in the future & create happiness through real estate If you’re not, no worries.

If you’re as obsessed with personality tests and self-improvement as Katy is, then knowing that her Myers-Briggs is an ESFP, the “D” on her DISC test is about as high as possible, and she is a 2 on the enneagram says quite a bit. It’s a long winded way of saying she is very observant, highly driven, and extremely helpful by nature. Born and raised in Minnesota, Katy is a third generation real esta

te investor. She integrates her sales, marketing, and television experience into the process and enjoys being your advisor and coach through your home buying or investment journey. You will likely find Katy with either a coffee or LaCroix in hand. Outside of real estate, there's a good chance she's spending quality time with family and friends (preferably on an international adventure or on a mountain, lake, or patio).

My biggest tip for a gallery wall…

Lay it all out first!

You didn’t really think he left me to do this alone, did you? 😂

In all seriousness though, I don’t mind shoveling and I hate when the snow compacts and creates ice.

Also, we do divide the household things in a fairly traditional way, but we both jump in and help wherever is needed. Last night CJ cleaned up the kitchen, so we’re plenty even.

Can’t credit me with the creativity, but man is it true.

Anyone else relate?? 😅

Loving this trend, especially because 2016 was an incredible (and eventful) year!!

Here’s 2016, in 20 pics:
• At the start of the year I was working the TV news reporter life at WDAY in Fargo
• Birthday at work (coworkers went full tropical)
• Got my wisdom teeth out
• MN Wild games
• Went to the Frozen Faceoff to cheer on UND
• Covered the ND GOP convention
• Harlem Globetrotters at the children’s hospital (they spun the ball on my finger… I did my best)
• Pageant season: won Miss North Dakota
• Represented ND at Miss United States in Las Vegas
• Work trip to Atlanta + zip lining in Georgia
• Celebrated a friend’s wedding
• Bought my first house at 25 (first investment property)
• Filmed a UND promo that played at a game for UND Night
• Brunch era was strong (monthly with the girls)
• Uptown duplex days + core memories
• Roommate/bestie turned into forever-bestie and I took Christmas card photos (because why not?!)
• and I took the spontaneous trip of a lifetime including Niagara Falls, Toronto (Hockey Hall of Fame), and Paris: Eiffel Tower + Mona Lisa moment
• Rang in the New Year together

There’s another part of our story we haven’t shared yet.

In April of 2025, I found out I was pregnant. And it was so exciting. After struggling with infertility, that moment felt like everything we had been hoping and praying for was finally happening.

We had an ultrasound. We saw a heartbeat. Everything looked really good.

We shared the news with our families around Memorial Day.

Our 10 week scan went well, and walking into the 14 week appointment, we genuinely believed we were in the clear.

We weren’t.

We walked into that appointment and there was no heartbeat to be found...

And there was nothing we could have done differently. We didn’t do anything wrong. It just… happened.

My body hadn’t recognized what had already occurred, and the weeks that followed were some of the hardest of my life.

Today is a hard day.

Today was my due date. Today is the day we were supposed to be holding our baby in our arms.

I’m sharing this because I said I would start sharing more real life.

And because the post I shared about Christmas, the blanket under the tree, and hoping for a miracle came from a very real place.

This journey has been hard. It’s changed me, and it’s changed how I see life, home, and how I want to show up.

I’m still figuring it out, but I do know this…
I want to be real.

And if any part of this is your story too, infertility, pregnancy loss, or both, I’m in your corner.

My DMs are open. You don’t have to carry it alone. 🤍

Ever feel like you’re working harder than ever but not really getting anywhere? That was us.

We’ve been through it all—starting out clueless, joining teams that didn’t quite fit, even trying to build something on our own. And let me tell you, it wasn’t pretty.

Late nights, burnout, constant stress…

sound familiar?

But here’s what we’ve learned: real estate doesn’t have to feel this hard. With the right systems, support, and people in your corner, everything shifts.

If you’ve been feeling like there has to be a better way—you’re right.

Let’s talk. 💬

Your next step might be closer than you think.
