Market Snapshot: January 4–10, 2026
Compared to the same week last year, the tri-county market showed meaningful improvement. Inventory across Lake, Marion, and Sumter Counties was higher year over year, giving buyers more choice, while total pending and closed sales both increased—signaling continued demand. Lake County saw a noticeable rise in listings, while Marion and Sumter maintained steady contract and closing activity, keeping the overall market well balanced.
For sellers, higher year-over-year closings show that buyers are actively moving forward. For buyers, increased inventory provides more opportunities to find the right home without the pressure seen in past years.
As the #1 brokerage by market share year-to-date, with offices in Lake, Marion, and Sumter Counties, RE/MAX Premier Realty has a direct view of these shifts and the expertise to help clients act on them.
Looking ahead, the year-over-year rise in pendings and sales suggests that early-2026 momentum is already building and could translate into even stronger activity in the weeks ahead.
