🎆 Mount Gilead July 3rd Celebration – Event Information 🇺🇸

We’ve had a lot of questions about the July 3rd festivities, so here’s everything you need to know!

🕓 Event Schedule

4:30 PM – Dedication of the Morrow County America 250 Marker at the Courthouse
5:00 PM – Food trucks open
6:00 PM – Family-friendly activities begin at the High School
9:45 PM (approximately) – Fireworks begin

🎵 Music & Entertainment

Pool: DJ starts at 12:00 PM and plays throughout the afternoon.
High School: DJ begins at 5:00 PM in the front parking area. Feel free to bring your lawn chairs, gather along Park Avenue, and even dance in the street before the fireworks! Patriotic music will play during the fireworks display.

🌭 Food

A food truck will be available at the pool starting at noon.
Additional food trucks open at 5:00 PM near the High School.

🚧 Road Closures & Traffic

Park Avenue will be closed on both sides of the High School.
To reach Park Avenue Elementary, use Cherry Street or Main Street.
To access the High School parking lot, enter from Iberia Street.

🚻 Restrooms

Public restrooms will be available at:

The pool (both inside and outside the pool area)
The Field House (in front of the football field)
A Tidy Tim portable restroom near the dumpster area in the Elementary parking lot
