A house is just a house until you fill it with the right people. 🏡❤️

I closed on this James Island home last week, and one thing my clients said early in the process has been stuck with me ever since:

“This is where our community will be built.”

That really resonated with me.

Over the past few years, I’ve become much more intentional about building my own community, and I’ve learned that community is so much more than a neighborhood. It’s the people who show up for you, celebrate with you, and become part of your everyday life.

One of the greatest privileges of my job is helping people find more than just a house. I get to help them find the place where birthdays will be celebrated, neighbors will become friends, and lifelong memories will be made.

And as a pretty great bonus? These buyers walked into closing with over $10,000 in equity in one of James Island’s most treasured locations.

Helping people find a home will always be important. Helping them find where they’ll build a life is what makes this work so meaningful.

Here’s to new beginnings. ❤️

I’ve become a little scared of branding photoshoots. Not because I don’t love the camera (y’all know me), but because every time I get the photos back, I see a version of myself I no longer recognize. A version I’ve already outgrown.

I’ve been preparing myself for that feeling ever since I booked this shoot.

But this time was different.

Looking through these photos, I saw someone I feel deeply aligned with. Someone who looks like herself again. Maybe that’s what happens when you keep doing the work, even when it’s uncomfortable. Or maybe this version still has more evolving to do.

Either way, I’m really glad she’s still here.

Lately I’ve been thinking a lot about the small choices that shape who we become.

For the last couple years, I haven’t always made healthy choices, I’ve made survival choices. And if that’s where you are right now, I get it completely.

But today, instead of the burger/fries spiral, I made this tuna pasta salad with things I already had at home. Nothing revolutionary, just a small choice that aligned with the woman I’m trying to become.

Also, I plan to bring back my featured recipes in my monthly newsletter, and this one will be May’s feature. Honestly, possibly the highest and best use of AI today.

Stopped apologizing for taking up space and being me 🤷🏼‍♀️

Being single has taught me that peace is built, not found. Tiny rituals. Quiet confidence. Dancing on a vibration plate in a red light mask without worrying who’s watching.

A large part of healing is realizing you don’t need to shrink yourself to be loved, accepted, or understood.

Take up space anyway.

It’s always the little things.

This 🐊 (with a message that matters), lives on my day bag. Somewhere between sessions at a packed real estate conference, I noticed he was gone. I retraced my steps, checked everywhere and finally accepted he was gone. And then a flash caught my eye, a place I sat for maybe 30 seconds, and there he was. Waiting.

Wild how something so small can mean so much….

I asked for this.

A slower Tuesday.
A home with character.
Mature trees that tell a story… and drop leaves nonstop.

I asked for the freedom, and everything that comes with it.

The responsibility. The maintenance. The cost.

I asked for a life that feels like mine.

And a body strong enough to live it.

Today, that looks like raking leaves in the middle of the afternoon. And honestly… it’s a win.

📣 Just sold 📣 3065 Grand Bay Lane, Johns Island

I helped these clients buy this home in 2022… right in the middle of the Charleston COVID frenzy. If you were in it, you get it.

Fast forward to now, full circle moment getting to help them sell it.

→ Under contract in 4 days
→ Multiple offers
→ Closed at 99.2% of list price

All in a market averaging 53 days on market and 97.4% list-to-sale.

This is exactly why who you work with matters.

I’m hyperlocal for a reason. I know the islands, how they move, how they price, and how to position a home to win. If I don’t know a market at that level, I’ll refer it out (and I did this week).

If you’ve been thinking about selling on Johns or James Island, let’s talk.

Real life check…

Tonight it’s a bag salad enjoyed straight out of a mixing bowl, on the couch, watching Seinfeld (my anxiety comfort show 😅).

No aesthetic, no effort…just doing what I had in me today.

And honestly? That’s enough sometimes.
