A few years ago, when Brian and I were dating, we had a funny discussion about how many kids we'd want to have. Both being the eldest of 2 sibling families, I will never forget the look of terror on his face when I told him that I wanted 4: 2 girls and 2 boys. "Lets start with two and see what happens!" seems in hindsight like his best effort to placate what he clearly viewed as an insane idea! Fortunately, he has since learned that when I have a vision for something there is little that can stop me. 😅 I could not have imagined two sweeter sisters than these two, born on 12/11 and 12/12, just one day shy of 8 years apart. To my incredible girls- I am so proud to be your mama and to witness the beauty of your hearts as you grow. Happy birthday loves! I hope that 17 and 9 are your best years yet! ✨ 💕🌲 🌙 🤍

I have some crazy talented (and thoughtful!!) friends. Lori is one of them and she surprised me this week with this one of her creations. I love how moody and ethereal this arrangement is- it reminds me that beauty is often expressed in unpredictable ways. Not everything has to be ritous color and perfect symmetry... some beauty is darker, more subtle and invites a quieter investigation...
