Another big restaurant move is coming to the Charleston area.

Riva Mare is a new coastal Italian rooftop restaurant planned for Storehouse Nine in the Charleston Design District at Navy Yard Charleston. According to Indigo Road, the concept is expected to open in summer 2026 and will overlook the Cooper River’s working waterfront. The menu is set to focus on fresh local seafood, crudos, whole roasted fish, house-made pestos and olive oils, and wood-fired dishes. It’s also being described as the first full-service food and beverage concept to open as part of the broader Navy Yard Charleston redevelopment.
