Needed to pick up a closing gift today, so I went straight to one of my favorite people, Mrs. Emily Manigault.

When it comes to client gifts, nothing beats a hand-woven Lowcountry Sweetgrass basket. They are hyper-local, beautiful, rich in history, and something people proudly display for a lifetime.

Beyond buying an ultra-local, high-quality piece of art, it’s always nostalgic pulling up to her stand right in front of Home Depot on Hwy 17—my old stomping grounds back when it was Laing Middle School.

CLOSED | 6 29th Ave, Isle of Palms 🥂🌊

My clients were already island locals, but they were ready for a lifestyle change and a fresh location on IOP. This new build checked every single box.

Like many custom new builds, getting to the finish line wasn’t without its speed bumps, and we still have a few punchlist items to knock out post-closing. But seeing my friends officially take ownership of this stunning home makes every bit of the effort worth it.
So excited to watch them plant new roots in this incredible space! 🌴🔑

What a fun long weekend. We did everything on the checklist!

*Play date at the park
*Fresh local shrimp dinner
*Hot venison sausage for breakfast
*H&L Asian store run for snacks
*Nice Greek dinner at Philosophia
*Bagels at Spread
*Shem Creek exploration
*Board games
*Cross country practice

A lot of other fun activities in between along with solid relaxing downtime. It was perfect!

It’s been a few years since I made it out to the Lewis Hatch Chile Roast, and man, was it good to be back! 🌶️🔥

There’s nothing like sampling custom dishes from local Lowcountry spots, all featuring fire-roasted Hatch chiles. Everything was incredible, but the birria grilled cheese and the hatch chili cheeseburger stole the absolute show. It’s wild how just a simple twist of adding those roasted chiles makes everyday comfort food pop off the page.

Washed it all down with a few ice-cold Hatch chile margaritas, and it turned into the ultimate Sunday afternoon. Perfect weather, great music, and top-tier local food vibes.

Already looking forward to next year. Cheers! 🍹

Happy Birthday to the absolute best wife, mom, and travel partner anyone could ask for. 🥂✨

When we first met, we were just two young kids with a dream to travel the world together. While on our recent trip through Southeast Asia, I snapped a picture of you and our daughters prepping to start the day in the bustling streets of Hanoi.

Looking at it, I was immediately brought back to when we were standing in Mathura, India waiting for a bus—less than a week after getting engaged in Jaipur. The similarity struck such an amazing chord.

17 years of being together, and our adventures are still going strong. The only difference now is that you get to pass down all the wisdom, grace, and life lessons you’ve gathered to these two little ladies. You are such an inspiring, dedicated, and intelligent mother.

Thank you for being you, and thank you for letting me be part of your life’s adventure. Happy Birthday, my love—here’s to another wonderful year ahead! ❤️

Details Matter: The Blue Tape Walkthrough 🔵🔍

Inspection negotiations on existing homes can often be stressful, which is one reason I love guiding clients through luxury new construction—the dynamic is entirely different.

Instead of endless repair negotiations, we hand the independent inspection report to the builder, and they get to work. From there, we do the final “blue tape walkthrough.” We walk room by room with the build team to demonstrate home systems and mark even the smallest cosmetic flaw—a tiny drywall nick, a paint touch-up, or a slightly misaligned wall sconce—with blue tape.

It can feel a little daunting when a brand-new home suddenly looks like a connect-the-dots puzzle, and buyers sometimes worry they’re being overly picky. My advice? Be picky. When you’re investing in custom luxury construction, you’re paying for excellence, and it should be right on closing day.

Our final walkthrough will be checking off every single piece of tape to make sure it’s 100% complete. Full speed ahead! 🔑
