You may not know this about me... 🌿

I grew up in a Charleston family with deep roots in horticulture and farming. As the youngest of five siblings, some of my favorite memories are from weekends spent working local farmers markets with my family, who owned one of the largest wholesale nurseries in the South for more than 75 years.

Those experiences taught me the value of community, hard work, and putting down roots—lessons that have stayed with me throughout my life.

While I definitely didn't inherit my family's talent for growing fruits and vegetables (I'd probably starve! 😂), I do love growing beautiful potted plants.

Today, I have the privilege of helping others put down roots in the place I've always been proud to call home. 🤍

One of my favorite local stops in downtown Charleston is The Veggie Bin. 🌿

Growing up in a family with a history of farming, I've always had an appreciation for fresh, locally grown produce and supporting the people who grow it. That's one of the reasons I enjoy stopping by The Veggie Bin on Spring Street.

It's one of those longtime Charleston businesses that has become a staple for fresh fruits and vegetables, local products, and seasonal finds.

If you haven't stopped by yet, I highly recommend adding it to your list the next time you're downtown. 🍅🥕🌽

Nestled in the heart of the College of Charleston campus, it's a quiet corner of downtown that feels timeless. The live oaks, historic architecture, and open green space make it one of my favorite places to pause for a moment while exploring the city.
