September is a great month to support our local fishermen and enjoy seafood that’s sustainably caught or grown right here in South Carolina.

According to the S.C. Sea Grant Consortium’s September guide, in-season choices include blue crab, stone crab, shrimp, oysters, clams, grouper, snapper, swordfish, king/Spanish mackerel, triggerfish, wreckfish and more.

Buying local seafood helps support South Carolina’s fishing communities, reduces transportation impacts and puts fresh Lowcountry flavor on your table. ❤️
