This Mother’s Day, I want to say thank you to all the moms out there like mine, who raised me and my brothers to appreciate the outdoors and everything it has to offer. From hard work and respect for the land to making memories in the woods and fields, those lessons stick with us for life.

And a special Happy Mother’s Day to my wife, , who has helped raise our two boys .stay and that have made the outdoors a way of life. Watching our boys grow up loving the land, wildlife, and this lifestyle we cherish means more than words can say.

We’re blessed to live this outdoors life together, and none of it would be possible without the incredible mothers who help shape it all. ❤️

Spent yesterday on the water in Florida with my wife and her dad — no rush, no noise, just stories, laughs, and a few fish that *may or may not* have been bigger in real life.

There are hunts you remember… and then there are hunts that simply don’t make sense unless you lived them.

This past week, my longtime friend and client, Tim Thompson, along with his wife Jonamie and daughter Rylee, experienced what can only be described as a one-in-a-million, lifetime moment on their new Kansas farm — a triple turkey success their very first morning hunting the property.

Let that sink in…

Tim purchased this farm sight unseen, trusting my inspection and vetting while I was in Kansas working on my own place. While walking the property, I picked out a spot that just felt right and suggested where to set up their blind.

Here’s the wild part…

Their first time ever stepping foot on their farm was in the dark, the night before opening morning. They set that blind exactly where I had scouted — and at sunrise, all three of them filled their tags out of that very setup.

You can plan. You can prepare. But sometimes… everything just aligns in a way you may never see again.

Moments like that are why we do this.

I couldn’t be happier for the Thompson family, and I’m already hoping their upcoming deer season is just as unforgettable.
