Today I got to travel to Midwest Title Lancaster for the closing of the Hardy family on their very first home. And while a congratulations is always in order to all of my buyers and sellers, this one has been almost two years in the making and is a unique story, which don't get me wrong, they all are. People who think that real estate agents just open doors and don't earn what they make have never spent the day in the shoes of a real estate agent. So almost two years ago, the Hardys and I were introduced to each other through a Zillow connection. They wanted to go look at a home and when I met with them that night, they expressed to me that they had already seen several homes with several different agents, had not decided yet if they were going to be purchasing in Wisconsin or Iowa, and that they weren't sure what agent they wanted to work with. And so we kind of talked through how things worked and we looked at two houses that night and when I followed back up with them, they ultimately decided that they were going to put in an offer on a house they had seen with another agent. And so I wished them the best of luck and they moved on with their agent. I reached out about a week later just to check in and make sure everything was good. And they said, yep, their offer had been accepted. They were excited and I again wished them the very best. And I thought that was the end of our story. But a couple of months later, I started getting notifications from my system that they were looking at properties again on my website. And I thought, well, that's interesting. And so I reached out and said, hey, guys, you know, last time we spoke, you guys had an accepted offer on a property. And my system is telling me you're looking at if you're just enjoying browsing homes on my website, that's cool with me. But I wanna make sure everything was OK. And it turned out that their transaction had fallen apart. They weren't happy with how it had gone or with the relationship they had had in that transaction and asked if I would consider circling back to them and being their realtor. And so for the last year and a half, we have looked at houses in two different states, put in offers on a couple, even had an accepted offer once before that ended up not moving forward. And we've changed lenders. It's been a full experience from top to bottom. And so I cannot say thank you enough to the listing agent, Barb, for listing a house that was a great fit for them, to Cross Country Mortgage for helping them get to where they wanted to be to own a home that was a good fit for their family. And of course, Sierra and Adam for trusting me with this journey. to find a home for their beautiful little growing family. Congratulations to all of you. It has been my sincerest pleasure to work with you, and I cannot wait to see the girls growing up in their new home and your pup enjoying his yard, and wish you all of the best. Thank you again. π π§‘
