Grateful for communities that still show up for one another.

Today my family and I picked up a meal from the Newton/Wayne Volunteer Fire Company, and it was a great reminder of what holds small towns together.

Volunteer fire companies do more than respond to emergencies. They create connection, service, and opportunities for people to support something bigger than themselves.

As business owners, we talk a lot about growth, revenue, and strategy — but none of that means much without strong communities and the people willing to serve them.

Thank you to everyone who cooked, organized, and gave their time. We appreciate you and the work you do year-round.

Snowmageddon • January 25th 2026

Snowed in with my sons tonight. Theresa and her kids are safe and warm at home. Everyone’s good—and that’s what matters most.

So I’m doing what feels right: cooking a comfort meal. Freshly peeled russet potatoes for fried potatoes and onions, fresh slab bacon, and Jimmy Dean hot sausage. Simple food. Real food.

This takes me straight back to my childhood—my mother Jeannette “RED” Stennett, and my maternal grandmother Queen Esther Victoria Trice Helton, lovingly known as Mom Esther. Strong women. Warm kitchens. Meals made with love.

Good food has a way of carrying memories—reminding us where we come from, who raised us, and what really matters when the world slows down.

Grateful for family, warmth, and the legacy passed down one meal at a time. ❤️🙏🏾

12/24/2025: Holiday cooking is one of those moments where everything aligns—family, tradition, patience, and purpose.

This pot of beans didn’t come from a recipe card. It came from watching, learning, and respecting the process. That mindset carries into everything I do—business, service, and community.

11/11/2025: Salute to all the veterans near and far today 🙌🏾🫡 We went to Altoona and picked up a nice conference table from Mr Long; The warehouse manager of Red Bull! He blessed me with this nice conference table for the board room at the office 🙏🏾 ♥️♠️♦️♣️

9/1/2025: Tenant turns really show you how folks are! Lol We always fix the damage and our attorney sends the bill to the tenants and the credit bureaus. Like wow, tenants can’t mop the floor and clean out the refrigerator? Like tenants put holes in the walls, crack the toilet, destroy the carpets, break the storm doors and they don’t say nothing 🤷🏾‍♂️ It’s ok though, we learned a valuable lesson and some folks will FAFO trust me!

8/26/2025: We always enforce the lease contract. we are fair and reasonable but when a tenant tries to get over on us we seek legal action. Just remember when you sign a lease you are obligated to uphold the lease terns with no exception. We file at the magistrate so that the next landlord is protected. One bad apple can spoil the whole bunch! #

Man I been turning up since 7/23/2025 🙌🏾 My anniversary, my helton and Trice family reunion, and my 54th birthday weekend!!! Who time flies fast 💨 I couldn’t imagine getting to 54 as it seems like I just turned 21 a few years ago 🙃 I’m blessed because I got a good woman, my mom is healthy, my sons are doing great, I got a great family that supports me, and I have wonderful friends! ONE of my best friends of almost 40 years has been such a blessing in my life because he helped me pay off my house 15 years early 🙏🏾 I can’t name out his name on Facebook but he is GREAT in poker against everyone else but me 👀I love you partner (I’m me victim)! Lmao . “We don’t Own the Rights to This Music!”

5/28/2025: I had a great weekend with family and friends but it was back to work this morning… Unfortunately we had a magisterial hearing in which we had to reluctantly enforce our 50 page lease. The Magisterial Judge commented on how thorough it was! We hate having to goto court but we are always prepared and willing to do what’s necessary when tenant(s) are non-compliant, adversarial, or try to take advantage of our kindness! 😞 This is the 2nd eviction hearing of 2025 abd I hope we don’t have any more 🙏🏾
