💥 48 states have it. Arkansas doesn't. 🤔
Issue 3 is a ballot initiative supported by the ARA that will allow local governments to create economic development districts and adequately compete for investments in their local communities. But most importantly:
✅ 48 states already have it, and Arkansas doesn't, making Arkansans unable to compete for economic development;
✅ It doesn't raise taxes
✅ It gives full local control for communities to determine what they need and how to utilize economic development districts

Did you know? Arkansas is one of only two states that doesn't allow local communities to create Economic Development Districts to compete for new jobs and business investment.

A yes vote on Issue 3 gives local communities the power to decide how to invest in their own economy and grow jobs.

Voting yes won't raise taxes or touch existing revenue — it uses new revenue generated by economic growth to fund investments like roads, jobs, housing, and more.

What a turnout!! The North Central Board of REALTORS are here at the Arkansas REALTORS Association Convention in Branson to celebrate our 2026 REALTOR of the Year Telicia Wade Perry!!

The North Central Board of REALTORS® is saddened to share the sudden passing of one of our fellow members, Lanny Wineland of Peglar Real Estate Group.

Lanny was an agent at Peglar Real Estate Group and a member of NCBOR for seven years. As his Peglar family shared on Facebook, "He was young at heart and loved encouraging the younger agents —especially during ping pong tournaments at the end of the workday. Those basement ping pong battles will be truly missed."

A Celebration of Life will be held for Lanny on Friday evening at 6:00 p.m. at Real Life Church in Mountain Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Mountain Home Youth Baseball through Mountain Home Parks & Recreation.

Please keep Lanny's family along with his Peglar Real Estate Group family in your thoughts and prayers.

Today's the day for Scoops for Seniors! Working the Paradice Cream window this afternoon is Hailey, a local graduating senior herself.

There's something fitting about that. The scholarship fund we're raising money for today could help a student just like her, and here she is, scooping cones to help make it happen for her classmates.

If you're out running errands before school starts back, swing by First Community Bank before 4pm. Every two scoops sold puts a dollar toward the NCBOR scholarship fund for our local graduating seniors.

Stop by, say hi to Hailey, and grab a cone for a great cause.

If you know Telicia, you know she pours her time and energy into supporting our local board, the state and national REALTOR® community, and her hometown — all at once! 🎉

As she is wrapping up her final year on the North Central Board of REALTORS®, Telicia has also served on the Mountain Home MLS Board, and has chaired multiple committees, including Special Olympics, Awards for Excellence, Core Standards, and more.

At the state level, she is an active member of five commitees including Public Relations, Diversity, Hearts & Homes, Safety and Convention.

Telicia is also always pushing her career forward! She holds her Accredited Buyer's Representative (ABR), and At Home with Diversity (AHWD) designations, completed the Graduate REALTORS® Leadership Academy, and is C2EX Certified.

And that doesn't even scratch the surface of what she does for her local community.
