Happy 2026, everyone! 🎉
This year is an exciting one for Ly Le Real Estate as we officially step into building and listing new construction homes across the Seattle, Eastside and South King County.
✨ This week’s spotlight: DADUs (Detached Accessory Dwelling Units)
Investors/Builder/Us are now designing 3-bedroom, 2-bath DADUs, which is a huge shift for homeowners in Washington State and opens up incredible opportunities for rental income, multigenerational living, or future flexibility of selling and buying.
🏡 What’s new as of July 2025:
Every city in WA now allows 2 DADUs per lot, with a maximum of 1,000 sq ft per DADU (city rules vary on garage inclusion):
Bellevue & Mercer Island: 1,000 sq ft excluding garage
Seattle: Up to 1,200 sq ft excluding garage
Renton & Kent: 1,000 sq ft including garage
