This is your reminder that you do not have to wait for the weather to cooperate before you start enjoying fall.

I walked into this Big Bend listing and started mentally moving my furniture in before I even finished the tour. (An occupational hazard at this point.)

My favorite part is the private sandy beach out back, with a gentle 9-ft walk-out into the lake — no rocky shoreline, no wading through muck, just sand under your feet and water calm enough that you'll forget it's not a resort. Runner-up: the wet bar downstairs with the custom light up cabinets because apparently I can't pick just one thing in this house.

Whoever buys this one is getting summer mornings with coffee on that beach before the neighborhood's even awake, and evenings that end at the fire pit instead of in front of a TV. On a lake where the loudest thing on the water is a paddle board, not a boat motor. That's not a small thing — that's the whole point of moving here.
