Do you have a central humidifier? Have you adjusted the humidistat for the extremely low temperatures we have been experiencing? Too much humidity can promote mold, mildew, and rot in homes as the warm moist air hits cool surfaces. Keeping an eye on the amount of condensation on your windows is a great way to gauge your home's humidity level. In addition, room temperature and humidity monitors available at hardware and building supply stores can also help you manage humidity. Homeowners can reduce condensation by lowering the interior humidity level. The recommended house humidity levels are found in the chart provided. We hope everyone is staying warm!

Nearly 38 million Kidde fire extinguishers were recalled today. If you have one in your home, please be sure yours is not on the recall list.
