Dear Tenant,
With an upcoming freeze and winter storm expected, I wanted to share a few important steps to help protect the home and prevent weather-related issues.
Please take the following precautions:
- Keep the heat set to at least 55–60°F at all times, even if you are away.
- Open cabinet doors under sinks (kitchen and bathrooms) to allow warm air to circulate around plumbing.
- Let faucets drip slightly during extremely cold temperatures to help prevent frozen pipes.
- Make sure all windows and doors are fully closed and locked.
- Disconnect and store any exterior hoses.
- If applicable, ensure garage doors remain closed.
Please also be aware that during severe weather, it can be very difficult to get contractors or emergency services out immediately due to high demand and hazardous conditions. Taking these steps now can help avoid preventable damage and delays in repairs.
If you notice any issues (loss of heat, frozen pipes, leaks, etc.), notify us as soon as possible.
Thank you for your cooperation and for helping take care of the property during this weather event. Stay safe and warm.
Best regards,
Kremer Realty PM
