What’s a contingency in real estate?
It’s basically a safety net in a contract that gives the buyer (and sometimes the seller) a way out if something important doesn’t check out.

Here’s the short and sweet:
🛠️ If the home doesn’t pass inspection — the buyer can ask for repairs or walk away.
💰 If financing falls through — they’re not locked in.
📉 If it doesn’t appraise — they can renegotiate or back out.

Each one has a deadline, and once all contingencies are handled (either met or waived), the deal keeps movin’ toward closing.
