Interest Rates.

There is nothing we talk about as much as current interest rates.

In 2020 and 2021, we encouraged as many people to buy as possible to lock in amazing rates. They were paying top dollar for their houses at the time, but they have all gained equity and most are in homes they would not be approved for today.

2022 we’ve seen interest rates double. It’s been harder for people to get approved for the homes they want, however, it has been a fantastic opportunity to purchase homes with negotiating power to lock in a fantastic purchase price. Though rates are higher, they are buying for less than ask in most cases. Locking in an amazing purchase price now and refinancing later allows you the best of both worlds.

One thing all buyers have in common: if they choose to rent another year rather than buy they lose equity, lose money, and spend 100% interest on their rental. Don’t let higher interest scare you on a purchase as you throw away all of your rent every month. We have not had a single buyer with remorse in all of our years of helping people buy and sell real estate.
