Ya know.....
I ❤️ Reading.
I've loved reading since I was in Daycare.
My Parents never really read to me as a child, but they did take me to the library and order me books all the time. As an only child, My Pop's used to gift me Encyclopedia Britannica books all the time growing up. And...I even still on this day, have Charlotte's Web on my book shelf in my Bonus room. My favorite book as a child. Lol
When I was 11 years old, I started babysitting to help my Parent's pay bills. It wasn't much, but my Mom wanted to teach me independence and how to save $$$. So, when I babysat....one of the things I always done was Read to the kiddos. We played outside, rode bikes.....rarely watched TV....just mostly, we read books.
This tradition, started when I babysat my baby Cousins. Mostly my 1st Godson. When I got older and had my own place, he'd come over and spend the night....& we'd just read. He was (and still is) so smart.🥰
So, when I became a Realtor, & I joined the wonderful organization of , a few years back, this opportunity to read to children at a school in South Nashville came about.
I could barely control my excitement!😁
Reading to children..... AND the book was related to Real Estate.....Too? SIGN ME UP!😄

Reading is so important to me.📚
Since this experience...I've since started back reading to kids at the library, and started a reading club in my neighborhood to help children learn to read or read better.
Knowledge and Wisdom are two intertwined characteristics so important to embody.
Embodying Knowledge and Wisdom, man....these gifts can take you so far in this life....At any age.
I learned a long time ago......People may try to take your Money, your Time, or even your Freedom.....but no one can ever take your Wisdom & Knowledge.
I remember I shared this particular experience on my IG back then, and even the Author(s) of the book shared it on their page. Now, That MADE MY DAY!🥰
This book, "The House That She Built", is truly inspiring. On That day....these kids actually discussed becoming Plumbers, Contractors, & Foremans.....it was so amazing to witness.
What I'm trying to say is....I'm sure, you parents, are encouraging your kiddos to reach for the stars, never give up on trying anything, persevere in life, etc....etc.. but amongst all that, I want to also remind you all, to not forget to also encourage your kids to Read as many books as their hearts desire.
"Knowledge Is Power", is not just a cliché or a saying.....it's Purposeful Truth.
...and the Power of Reading, can take any mind farther than we could ever dream or imagine.
