Long post...Sorry!!!
Today, I had the opportunity to help a very good friend of mine fulfill a long awaited dream! I will not mention his name, but I have known the gentleman in the middle for over half of my life. He has been wanting to move back to the country for a good while. Three years ago, he lost his beautiful wife on the day after he retired. They had big plans to travel, enjoy each other, and to move to a smaller city and just live a simple life. God had other plans! Today, my friend made a decision to keep living, keep dreaming, and to keep moving forward!!! Ironically, the gentleman to the left is the good fellow that owned the house that my client bought. He is also a widower and a Baptist preacher. With the sell of his home, he is also fulfilling a dream and moving forward in his life! These two gentlemen have already formed a tight relationship...just as if God joined these two together!
I am so thankful for my friend trusting me to not only help him buy a new house, but to also help him sell his home of 34 years.
I have been reminded throughout this process of working with my friend that my chosen profession of Realty is not just a means in which I make a living to provide for my family (although I am thankful to God for this provision). I try to treat my job as a ministry in which I can minister to my clients and help them out during their time of Big Decisions. I know several others in my profession feel the same exact way!
Although you will not be able to congratulate my friend and wish him well in his new beginnings, maybe if you have a second, you can say a quick prayer for him. I know that he will certainly appreciate that!
