Hard to put to words what happened for me yesterday.

I grew up believing I couldn’t do the things other people could do because I was heavier than other people. I couldn’t run as fast, jump as far, and many other lies I told myself.

When I was growing up, I was a scared kid. Scared to spend the night away from home, scared to try new things, scared to be vulnerable, but I’m learning that the best version of myself and the biggest lessons for me to learn are on the other side of facing those fears.

Yesterday was something I never dreamed I would accomplish. For most of my life I probably wouldn’t have believed that it was even possible. The Lord has blessed me with the ability to use my body, the opportunity to train, and the support system to give it a go and that all came together for 26.2 miles yesterday and I’m forever grateful and changed.

Thank you to my wonderful wife for always supporting me, thank you to my friend Tyler for always calling me to more, and thank you to God for the ability to grow.

I’m not sure what’s next, but I’m excited to continue to press into my fears and the unknown and see who comes out on the other side.
