This morning I went to a listing our office has that is vacant. I checked to make sure the heat was turned up, the cabinets under the sinks were open, the water main was turned off, and the garden hose was disconnected.

This is one of the little things that realtors will do to help out. No one wants to deal with frozen/broken pipes while trying to sell your home.

If you are currently listed as a FSBO, I hope you see this post for two reasons. First (and most important), I hope this reminds you to go and prepare your home before the cold snap hits. Second, using a realtor (like me!) Could really save you money and headaches in the long run.
