Thinking about skipping the home inspection to “save money” and put it toward future repairs? That can be a costly mistake.

A few hundred dollars for a professional inspection can save you several thousand in unexpected repairs after closing. Walking through a home during a showing won’t tell you what’s really going on beneath the surface.

What you don’t see can hurt you — like:
🔎 Broken or rotted floor joists
🔎 Rotted subflooring
🔎 Failing or fallen floor supports
🔎 Dangerous electrical wiring in the crawl space

A home inspection isn’t a waste of money — it’s protection, knowledge, and negotiating power.

Before you buy, know the whole story.

⚡ Double-Tapped Breakers ⚡

See the difference?

A “double tap” happens when two wires are placed under a breaker terminal that’s only rated for one.

❌ Loose connection
❌ Overheating risk
❌ Potential fire hazard

Some breakers are designed for two conductors — most are not.

This is why electrical panels should be evaluated by a trained inspector. What looks small can turn into a big issue fast.

If you’re buying, selling, or just want peace of mind — get it inspected.

A breaker shouldn’t trip repeatedly.
If it does, it’s doing its job — protecting your home from an overload or a short.

Frequent tripping can mean:
⚡ Too many devices on one circuit
⚡ Failed breaker
⚡ Damaged wiring
⚡ Hidden moisture in outlets

Never reset a breaker over and over. Find the cause.

Foggy windows aren’t just annoying — they signal higher humidity, failing seals, or poor ventilation.

Moisture on the glass often means moisture elsewhere too.

Get ahead of the damage before winter hits.

When paint bubbles or drywall softens, there’s moisture behind the scenes.
Left alone, it leads to rot, mold, and major repairs.

If your walls look “off,” let a pro check what’s going on behind them.
