15 years - 6 homes, 3 dogs, 3 kids, multiple job and career changes and the year of turning 40!

I remember when we got married…I couldn’t even imagine our 15th year. 15 years felt like forever away and yet here we are. It happened in a blink of an eye.

We are now working on the same team and building out our dreams. All of the conversations we had at the beginning of our marriage are finally coming to fruition. I am excited to see what we build in the next 5 years.

Love seeing how we have changed from our wedding day, 7 years and today at 15 years. We age like fine wine.

McKenna is definitely a mini me in terms of having an entrepreneurial spirit.

Yesterday our community put together a Kids Marketplace Day. McKenna set up her booth to start promoting her dog walking business. At first she was a little shy approaching the adults, but after an hour into it she got more comfortable. She ended up booking 2 dog walking jobs for this morning!

I took her to the homes and she had to go in, talk to the adults and then give the report after we returned back. This was a little nerve racking for her, but she did it!

At the age of 10 she is learning and improving on these skills. I can’t wait to see the businesses she’s able to build in her lifetime. She’s quite amazing.

And….if you ever need a dog walker or sitter, she’s your gal!

Scott and I went and saw this movie yesterday. This is always a hard, uncomfortable topic to speak about, but these are conversations we NEED to be having.

It’s time to get uncomfortable because these kids are feeling uncomfortable, scared, vulnerable and so many other emotions on a daily basis. Hiding your head in the sand doesn’t make their lives any easier. Heck, it could even be happening right under your nose.

I’m grateful for individuals who are willing to take a stand and put their livelihoods and careers on the line to fight against evil.

This 4th of July was one for the books. I absolutely love our circle and that we can all get together for the celebration. The kids loved running around lighting off fireworks (McKenna is officially a pyro) and eating all the things.

The only thing that could have truly made this night better is Scott and Lucas. They enjoyed their 4th in Seattle.

I’m grateful for all of those that continue to sacrifice and have sacrificed their lives for my freedom.
