Parkland caught up with 13 On Your Side this afternoon to discuss what today’s approval means for the Shaw Walker project and its timeline.

Formerly the world's largest furniture factory, the Shaw Walker building will soon have a new life.

Exterior changes are underway at the Shaw Walker development in Muskegon.

Over the last couple weeks, the team has re-opened one of two interior courtyards, and began removing brick and window walls on the east side of the building. This particular courtyard will ultimately provide natural light into the future interior apartments in this section of the building.

Parkland is prioritizing work impacting Division Street in order to open the road before Memorial Day. Focus will then shift to parts of the building that are accessible from on the site.
