Happy Fed Meeting Week 👀

The Federal Reserve is meeting today and tomorrow, and while it might sound like “big picture” stuff, it does trickle down into real estate.

Here’s the quick breakdown:

What they’re focused on:
• Interest rates – Most expect no change right now, but everyone’s listening for what comes next
• Inflation – Still the main concern, especially with energy costs creeping up
• Jobs & economy – Job market is strong, so there’s no big rush to cut rates
• Wildcard – Oil prices and global tension are making things a little unpredictable

What this means for real estate:
We’re still likely in a “higher for longer” rate environment for now. That said, even small changes in tone from the Fed can move mortgage rates pretty quickly.

Rates have been sitting in the low 6% range, and I’ve already started to see more buyers getting back into the market.

My honest take:
Buyers — trying to time the “perfect” rate usually backfires.
Sellers — activity is picking up more than people think.

I’ll keep an eye on what comes out of the meeting and share anything that actually matters 👍
