Tenants,
Forecasts are shaping up to be a significant weather event with wide spread precipitation and deadly windchills starting Friday January 23rd through Sunday January 25th. However, the damage causing temperatures will stick around through most of next week. To avoid any issues and the potential of being without heat and water, please follow these precautionary steps as vendors will be busy with calls delaying any repair work orders.
Ensure all heat/air filters are changed with new clean filters.
Ensure thermostat batteries are changed with new charged batteries.
Ensure faucets are left to drip to small flow to prevent pipes from freezing.
Ensure ALL crawl space access holes are blocked off.
Ensure all water hoses are disconnected from the hydrants(tenants are responsible to breaks due to not disconnecting water hoses).
Ensure you have flashlights, batteries, blankets, etc in case of power outages, these could be lengthy.
If your pipes do freeze, please do not do anything until they thaw. Then report any leaks. We can't work on frozen pipes.
We will be out and about Friday to ensure all multifamily properties are treated with rock salt to all walking surfaces. If needed, we will do this again over the weekend to help prevent any slips or falls during the falling precipitation.
Thank you for your support in ensuring this goes as smoothly as possible with the least amount of repairs as possible since all repairs are burdens on the tenants as well as maintenance.
