Stories. You all know I have them! 😄 Hear me out for a minute.

This lovely couple was referred to me TWICE.

First, they had their home appraised late last year as they were beginning to consider selling. Fast forward to a few months ago, and they gave me a call. Turns out, both their appraiser from last year AND one of their best friends—who happens to be a mutual friend of ours—had shared my name with them.

At that point, I guess they kind of felt stuck with me! 😂

But seriously, they have been SO amazing to work with. This closing picture was snapped yesterday after the purchase of their new home! 🏡🎉

We still have their other home on the market in Tuttle, so send us a buyer!

Now for the second part of the story…

The lady on the far left is a good friend, Patty Wood Chan. She and her husband, Larry, were both agents at our previous brokerage. Patty is now a loan officer at BOK, and Larry Chan, Realtor is an agent in my office at Wise Oak Realty!

The connection between these buyers and Patty actually happened at an open house Larry was hosting. One introduction led to another, and it all just seemed meant to be.

That’s one of the things I love most about this business. Relationships matter. Referrals matter. And sometimes the connections all come together in ways you never could have planned.

I’m incredibly thankful for the people who continue to trust me enough to share my name with their friends and family. That means more to me than you know.

Stories. ❤️ You know there are stories behind every home sale.

It’s especially meaningful when longtime friends—who definitely feel more like family—call me to help sell their home. That’s the case here.

This couple loves on people bigger than just about anyone I know. Their heart for ministry didn’t stop when they retired from ministry, and that calling eventually moved them from our community to a new one.

I had the honor of helping them find their new place, and then we went to work getting this one sold. 🏡

It wasn’t easy, but we got there! We navigated some tough negotiations and unexpected repairs along the way, but we made it to the other side. 🙌

We miss them tremendously here, but we know they’re doing GREAT things in their new community!

I’m thankful for their friendship, their trust, and the opportunity to be a small part of their story. ❤️

The stories behind the transactions are fun!

The seller of this home actually reached out to me directly because my listing sign was in another yard near his new home. We met at the home pictured here for a listing appointment, and the rest is history.

Well… I guess I can tell you about it! 😂

He had kept a great home in meticulous condition and even replaced the carpet before we put it on the market. In what has otherwise been a pretty tough market for sellers, this home presented well, was priced well, and received an offer in no time.

We had a pretty clean inspection, worked through the process, and moved this one right on to closing. ✅🏡

I’m incredibly grateful that referrals make up darn near 100% of my business. So when someone I’ve never met calls me out of the blue because they saw my sign and asks for my help… that’s super cool!

And it’s a good reminder that you never really know where the next opportunity will come from.

Have time for a short story?

Lately, the referrals have been pouring in. 🙌 HUGE blessing, and I’m beyond thankful.

You know what else? Listings aren’t moving very fast. 🏡 I believe there are several reasons:

1. Interest rates are higher than buyers like.
2. There’s still plenty of economic uncertainty — job security, risk, etc.
3. Everything else is expensive, too.
4. Buyer demand cooled sharply beginning in 2022 after the buying boom of 2020–2021.
5. It’s 1,000° outside and no one wants to shop! ☀️🥵

Are homes selling? YES. ✅ And they always will. It’s just slower than any of us would like it to be.
