I’ve been volunteering at a non-profit pregnancy crisis medical clinic, Crossroads Clinic, for a little over a year. It’s a wonderful opportunity to not only help educate young people who find themselves unexpectedly needing help & guidance but also an opportunity to be the hands and feet of Jesus every week. I have been so richly blessed getting to pour into young men and women every week! It’s definitely the highlight of my week!
We only have a couple of fundraisers throughout the year and the Walk for Life is one of them! We will not only have a timed 5K run with prizes but also a 2 mile walk for those of us who are a little less athletically inclined! 😉 That event is coming up on September 21st at Mineral Wells Park in Guthrie.
There will be a lunch and some fun things for kids being provided afterward so bring the family and make a fun family day out of it! I'd love to have partners either walking with me or help out by sponsoring me to walk. We also could use volunteers to help out with different things throughout the event.
