ANSWERS TO 4TH OF JULY TRIVIA

#1 is Francis Bellamy (who wrote the pledge to commemorate the 400th anniversary of Columbus’ discovery of America). Fun fact: the words “Under God” were added in the 1950’s at the request of President Eisenhower.
#2 is most likely 13 (for the original 13 colonies). Also, I’ve seen the Liberty Bell in person and like the Alamo, it was WAY smaller than I had imagined! 😳😂
#3 is Thomas Jefferson (although at the time, it wasn’t called the “White House”, but rather the Executive Mansion). Fun Fact: Ironically, Thomas Jefferson died on the 4th of July exactly 50 years after signing the Declaration of Independence!

On April 19th, we come together to remember and honor the lives lost and forever changed by the Oklahoma City bombing. I will never forget the events of that tragic day but will remember the incredible strength and resilience of our community. I still recall the disbelief and shock as I listened to Dan Trelked's reports, feeling the impact of the explosion even miles away in Yukon. Despite the darkness, I remember the outpouring of love and support, as my son PK and I joined countless others to bring coffee and food to our brave first responders downtown.

Today, we stand united as Oklahomans, embodying the spirit of resilience and compassion that defines us. We are Oklahoma strong!

The City of Mustang was notified that on Monday, April 8, construction crews would begin an overlay of Southwest 59th Street, beginning at N. Clear Springs Road and running west to Gregory Road. The road is located in Oklahoma City but may impact commuters from the City of Mustang area. The overlay is part of the State Highway 152 project and is expected to be utilized as a detour once work begins on the highway.
