🇺🇸 3rd Annual Surfside Beach 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb — 25th Anniversary Tribute 🇺🇸

Join the Town of Surfside Beach and the Surfside Beach Fire Department as we gather to honor and remember the 343 firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice on September 11, 2001.

This year marks the 25th Anniversary of 9/11, and we invite our community climb together in remembrance.

📅 Date: Friday, September 11, 2026

⏰ Check-In: Opens at 7:30 AM | Climb Begins: 8:30 AM

📍 Location: Surfside Beach Fishing Pier
Participants will climb the stairs of the Surfside Beach Fishing Pier 26 times, symbolizing the 2,200 steps taken by first responders at the World Trade Center. Firefighters and police officers are encouraged to wear gear or weighted vests
