A lot of agents see High Resolution and automatically think, “that must be the better file”.

Not always.

The right file depends on where the photo is going.

WEB QUALITY files are made for digital use like the MLS, social media, websites, and emails. They’re smaller, faster to upload, and still look sharp on screen.

HIGH RESOLUTION files are made for print. They contain more image data, which helps photos stay crisp when used for flyers, brochures, postcards, banners, billboards, or anything being enlarged.

So the easiest way to remember it?:

Staying on a screen? → Web Quality
Being printed or enlarged? → High Resolution

Choosing the right file helps your marketing look better and keeps you from using a giant file where you don’t need one.
